Students visited the Apple Park Visitor Center in Cupertino, CA.
Sierra Club
Students went to the San Francisco Bay Chapter of the Sierra club. There, director Minda Berbeco walked the students through the city as she pointed out areas of development as well as both historical and environmental significance including landmarks such as aquatic park.
Richmond Field Station Lab
Dr. Ajay Pillarisetti gave a presentation on his research on indoor air quality in India. He taught the group about the different types of sensors used to collect air quality data as well as the type of data collected.

This is a mapping software created by Esri that allows for the creation of personalized, interactive maps that can be tailored to suit any purpose/presentation. These maps provide a visual for the audience to easily understand.

The PATS+ is a an innovated portable data logging device that measures real-time particle concentrations which were used for students research.

Students worked on data processing every night after collecting data from the field at Berkeley Lounge
Toxic Tour
Andres Soto led a tour around Richmond, teaching the history behind Richmond, the current environmental issues surrounding Richmond, and the demographics within Richmond. He focused on the environmental injustice surrounding the Chevron oil refinery as well as possible ways to take action against those who take advantage of the people of Richmond.
Richmond Youth Counsel
At the Richmond Field Station, the Richmond Youth Council, in collaboration with Mr. James Nolan, gave a presentation on their work on air quality data collection around Richmond. They also shared their goal of empowering the youth of Richmond to take action and better their community.

Dr. Kathy Hammond and Dr. Elizabeth Noth gave a tour of her chemistry lab, where she analyzes what pollutants are in the air as well as what instruments her lab uses to properly collect and analyze the samples collected.
